Can u believe this!?
I paid for Norton internet security when i purchased my laptop last year, it’s fully up to date and i have 128 days left of my subscription, so i was dissapointed when my IE browser was hijacked, i did a full system scan and nothing showed up, i tried spybot search and destroy AND super anti spyware AND security sweeper but the problem still persists, so i contact Norton for advice. They said they could fix the problem for £70!!!, what a con, they want to charge me for something i already paid for!. i’d rather do a factory reset than pay these con artists, they probably created the virus in the first place so people like me cough up more cash!. How bad is this?
no offence Mick, but downloding stuff from Bitlord probably got me into this mess in the first place.
IE sucks not sure why people continue to use it. If you keep using it, you can be guaranteed to have serious problems many times over. If you have XP, you can use the Mozilla office suite that is nice, Firefox and a ton of others that are all better and more secure.
That said, Norton is excellent software package. Simply try running your computer in the safe mode and see if that takes care of your problem and disable the restore. You did not list the virus or trojan. If your problem is real, all I can say is you can complain all you want, but its a;ways better to light a candle than curse the darkness.
There are many people like me who enjoy helping people and removing viruses. Most trojans and viruses are easily curable if you get to them early.
Take a breath and relax, what ever it is and how frustrating you think it is, it’s not a big deal and should be easily resolved. No Anti-virus pac is bullet proof.
Let us know your operating system and what it is that is hanging you up. When it’s all over understand, it’s not you or Norton, it’s Microsoft. You and Norton and all of us wanting to help are all on the same team. Also hope you learned a valuable lesson in using better browsers.
Do not use MS one care-it’s a waste of time
